I’m getting pretty tired of the regressive left trying to censor artists/ people in general in the name of “social justice”. Many people I know are feeling the same. Who knew that the left would end up becoming so much like ’30s Germany? Surprise surprise.
So some venues in Canada have cancelled shows by a band called “Black Pussy” because their name is “offensive”. Really?
Read the article. It just makes Canada look like a bunch of whiners who can’t handle (omigosh) art. You can’t censor art and then claim you are a free country that allows free expression. Art is meant to push buttons and raise questions. That’s the very nature of art. When you start censoring and putting a fence around what people can or cannot do, that is censorship and that is absolute bullshit. It’s totalitarianism. And that is what we’re heading towards if we don’t stop this madness.

Have you ever thought that the name could also mean a black pussycat? I really fail to see how this name could be offensive or trigger anyone who isn’t basically looking to be triggered. Black pussy. Yellow Penis. Red face. White Anus. Fucking whatever. It’s fucking art. It’s a name. If you don’t like it, don’t listen to the band. Don’t go to their concerts. But don’t start rallying to remove the band from the venue or boycotting the venue. That’s entitled bullshit and it is CENSORSHIP. I’m so done with this SJW shit.
