ABC decided to cancel their highest rated show following a controversial tweet in which Roseanne Barr compared an African-American woman, a former advisor to President Obama, to an ape. This did not sit well with ABC management, or anyone with a brain, and they announced that the show’s first season would also be its last. “Roseanne” was a very big hit for ABC.

I decided to write a song inspired by this situation. Here are the lyrics

Roseanne I don’t understand why you kicked
A gift horse in the mouth
65 years old you had the highest rated show on ABC
You let your racism spill out all over social media
Bet you’re wishing you could take back those words
Roseanne why why why
Destroyed your career in the blink of an eye
Roseanne bye bye bye
You just committed career suicide
Some people say it’s conspiracy
Some people say it’s the thought police
They say you wake them up
They say you shake them up
They say you’re motherflippin not racist
Overreaction, that’s what they say
Claiming everybody is a snowflake
You’re a fallen idol
You had the world by the balls
But you had diarrhea
Coming outta your mouth
Coming outta your face
Roseanne why why why
Destroyed your career in the blink of an eye
Roseanne bye bye bye
I think it’s time for food stamps It’s time to dumpster dive
